Base camp at a time three different couples cannot stay at once. Only one entrance. Therefore we can market upper floor delux double room with attached bathroom separate. Two standard bed rooms on the ground floor can be accommodated by a group like two couples may be with a child. they have to share the bathroom and in the hall we have a pantry, bathroom,small dining area and a cozy living space. There is a dining area outside as well with a scenic views. Also can relax on the deck.
The Octagon House, so named because of its distinctive shape, was designed and built by an American architect, to embody the spirit of Gadadessa. Influenced in part by the “Padirippuwa” at Kandy’s famous Temple of the Tooth, and by an overall desire to be in harmony with nature, the Octagon House is made from sustainable, forest grown timber. Its design also takes advantage of natural airflows to keep the house cool at all times, and utilizes renewable energy sources for lighting, hot water and to power appliances
Whether it is privacy you seek, or time to think…and write, or read, the Tree House is a very special place. Perched upon a hilltop, it provides gorgeous views of the surrounding valleys and hillsides…from the canopy of a living tree. Wake up to the songs of birds, or watch the sun going down over the mountains, making way for the bright stars at night… The Tree House is an ideal space for two adults, having all the basic amenities. Have your meals delivered, or wander over to one of the other bungalows to eat.
The ultimate expression of being in harmony with nature is to camp at Gadadessa’s campsite, which can accommodate 15 or more people. We provide tents, meals and other wilderness comforts for your group to enjoy being as close to nature as you like. An ideal location for a corporate retreat or team building exercise, we can cater special barbecues and campfire meals in this idyllic spot next to a pristine stream.
